When: 7pm Monday Nov 3rd Where: T 130 922 Details: 3 hours of learning to find your way in the dark relying on map & compass. Navigating in darkness while unlikely for runners requires the same skills as route finding in dense mist (very likely) or whiteouts (very unlikely but you never know). Who: Improver/experienced navigators wishing to improve further. You will need to be comfortable with map and compass on the hill to gain from this session. What to bring: Besides your map & compass, lots of warm clothes and a head torch. We will be walking with plenty of stops on an Irish hillside, in the dark, in November. Be sensible. All for a special rate of 35euro with Mud Sweat & Runners limited of 12people and you may book on this email [email protected]om www.mudsweatandrunners.weebly.com www.facebook.com/mudsweatandrunners About Paul: Paul grew up racing with a map in his hand, orienteering and hill running, both home and abroad. He has been involved in the surveying and drawing of Orienteering maps and was an Irish Orienteering Association (IOA) event controller. Currently training to become an International Mountain Leader (IML) he holds the Mountain Leader (Summer) award issued by Mountaineering Ireland. He is also an Emergency Medical Technician, handy if we have a mishap on the hill. https://www.facebook.com/events/1504179403173118/ DISCLAIMER MSR holds no responsibility of any nature damage or injury suffered by a participant who takes part in any run's or events held by MSR or JuJu Jay and takes part at their own risk and is fully responsibility for their own safety, support and equipment. have fun & be safe… peace What a super day on the trails...

Hope your all doing great on them mountains running lots and finding many new trails...
Ya ya ya! I know its being a good while since I've updated my blog!.. ya its cause my internet has been very bad at this time for making updates to this site but can always make up-dates on FB etc.. So from now on I'll be only making new updates every few weeks... or if your a follower on MSR via FB well you will get my every week up-dates.. And in the last 4weeks I've been training lots why I don't really know maybe cause I can!! am never training for any race etc. as am not really into racing!... people keep asking me now a days why don't I race... Well I've do the IMRA races for fun and their cheap for me... for bigger races like marathons and ultra marathons I just don't have that cash to race them.. some of them are not so close to home and you have to book somewhere to stay over night etc.. well it all adds up and I just don't have it to spend.. so this is WHY I don't race... But saying that I spend every day running around the wicklow mountains having great fun on my own or with a group of great runners. and yes I like the IMRA or other smaller races now & then... If you would like to see me do an ultra as most of you keep sending me them emails maybe you might send me a free ticket & let me race them!!! haha only dreaming!... So back to running !! well my group runs have being so so so busy every week.. I've got 3 runs set up from the Tuesday night run, Wednesday beginners run and weekend Saturday or Sunday longer tougher run. but we always set up a new trail running club here in Laragh - Glendalough and train every Thursday, so our numbers on each on our runs are great anything from 8-15people sometimes more on weekends,,, yes have to say MSR has really took off.... So am happy to say a great big thanks to Niall Corrigan my good pal who has been a running pal with myself and MSR for the past 3 years has now came on board with MSR group runs.. his took on a few groups for me while I've been busy.. I hope we have a nice MSR led of team runners very soon to take others out on longer or faster run while ill be looking after the new trail running club with Rene Borg.. Ok people time to go now.. will update much more soon. but for many more updates you can read them on my FB page www.facebook.com/mudsweatandrunners or twitter.com/JuJuJay3 peace Big well done to Laurence Colleran on his IMRA Dublin Pecks trail race with a great time of 3:14:29 on a nice 30k
